Episode 13 - A Christmas Story 2

December 23rd, 2013

For our final Christmas 2013 episode, we bring you a new review with A Christmas Story 2. It's about as bad as you'd expect and something tells us no one will be watching this cheap direct-to-video cash-in sequel for 24 hours straight, unless they're very sadistic.

Episode 12 - A Christmas Puppy

December 22nd, 2013

Zane and Justin were furious when they went to watch A Christmas Puppy on Netflix and discovered that there is in fact no puppy to be found anywhere in the film. Justin takes it one step further and contacts Netflix's customer support to report this travesty on this classic Hodgepodcast Christmas episode, now archived here at Have You Seen My Childhood!

Episode 10 - Top Dog

December 18th, 2013

Justin and Zane bring back another classic family film review from their old Hodgepodcast days with the Chuck Norris vehicle Top Dog. Episode 09 - Marmaduke

November 23rd, 2013

This week, we take a look at the Sunday-morning-comic-strip-turned-movie MARMADUKE, which is basically a high school comedy with dogs instead of human teenagers. Despite George Lopez being in the voice cast, we're quite impressed with how seriously most of the cast took their roles in the movie. Also, we introduce the new segment "Pitch the Sequel" and introduce our new crew member, Gary. And Zane finally explains why he always wants to watch family film sequels instead of the originals.

After a bit of a hiatus, we're back with a spooky Halloween episode! We go deep into Canada's sweetheart Ellen Page's long-forgotten days of child acting in family TV movies with the often-retitled Animal Planet Original Movie Ghost Cat. Sure enough, there is a cat that happens to be a ghost in this movie, so there's that.

Oh, and if you've already listened to the episode, here's that book cover we talked about:

Episode 06 - Beethoven’s 2nd

September 3rd, 2013

Zane and Justin review the 2nd entry into the Beethoven franchise, appropriately titled Beethoven's 2nd. In this film, Charles Grodin returns as America's favorite curmudgeon dad and has to deal with Beethoven getting freaky with another St. Bernard and making a whole litter of puppies for his family to adopt. Plus, Beethoven prevents a rape. It's all good clean family fun here this week on Have You Seen My Childhood?
